National
Youth Ambassador, Mr. Eduardo Samuel is to be part of a
CARICOM Mission to Brazil. The initiative which seeks to
provide a platform for idea exchange and information
dissemination between young persons in the Caribbean and
Brazil and to develop a youth network for collaboration on
issues pertaining to HIV and AIDS, is schedule to take place
in Florianopolis Brazil from June 24 -28, 2008. Mr. Samuel
will form part of a five member team of CARICOM Youth
Ambassadors and technical experts on the mission.
Mr. Samuel, who is a member of the National Youth Ambassador
Corps, is in his second term as CARICOM Youth Ambassador.
His participation is being facilitated by the CARICOM
Secretariat, the Ministry of Social Development, Department
of Youth and Culture and his employer the Anguilla
Electricity Company.
The National Youth Ambassador Corps is a component of the
Ministry of Social Development, Department of Youth and
Culture’s ONSTREAM Programme; an initiative seeks to create
a structured opportunity for young people to participate in
decision making through involvement on decision making fora,
while at the same time developing their capacity for
leadership.
